Company Advertising Standards

Policy version: picme-company-ads-v1 · 21 October 2026

Pic Me welcomes applications from local businesses and national and international companies that support a family-friendly, faith-based sporting environment. Application and payment never guarantee approval.

Who may apply

The representative must have reviewed adult age assurance, completed safety setup and independently reviewed authority to represent the company. A company name, declared age, subscription or email address alone is insufficient. Reviewers must not approve their own company or campaign.

Prohibited advertising

Every creative, advertiser and linked destination requires human review. Obvious prohibited terms are screened, but keyword checks cannot establish that an advertisement is safe. Ambiguous categories remain held until the policy owner decides. Advertisers must hold the necessary content and third-party rights.

Audience and placements

Advertisers may select age bands; Pic Me independently restricts delivery using verified viewer eligibility. Audience selections never override guardian, privacy, consent or ad-free protections. This initial pilot supports text ads in the news feed and feed-page site banners for opted-in verified adults only. Under-18, unknown-age and athlete-profile placements, image and video creatives are Coming soon, subject to separate acceptance. Paid or uncertain subscription records suppress ads conservatively.

Ads display an Advertisement label. This pilot uses no advertiser pixels, automatic media loading, contact-list sharing or IP geolocation. Clicking an advertiser’s link takes you to that business’s external website. You may turn company ads off in your account; Essential Only also hides them on this device and requests account opt-out. A failed account update is reported for retry. Content already delivered cannot be recalled.

Athlete sponsorships are separate

Athlete endorsements, NIL transactions, athlete-deal payments and commercial reuse of an athlete’s identity are Coming soon pending counsel sign-off and separate release approval. A company advertisement does not grant those rights. School athletes and families should consult their school’s athletic director before any sponsorship or endorsement arrangement. Pic Me is not endorsed by or affiliated with PIAA.

Review and changes

Pic Me may reject or pause campaigns that fail these standards. Approval records bind the reviewed creative and audience; changes need new review. No campaign reach, sporting eligibility or absolute protection is guaranteed. Company campaign checkout remains Coming soon. These standards describe the current pilot, not a certification of legal compliance.
