Account deletion
Delete your Pic Me account
This page explains how to request deletion, what we remove, and the records we must keep afterwards. Pic Me is operated by Picmeclick LLC.
How to request deletion
If you can sign in: open Privacy and Data Controls and choose Request account deletion. It closes your session and records the request for review. Save a copy of anything you want to keep first, using Download my data on the same page.
Sign in to request account deletion
If you cannot sign in: email bg@picmeclick.com with the subject “Pic Me account deletion request”. We must verify you own the account, or that you are the parent or guardian of the athlete, before touching any data. Do not send passwords, identity documents or sensitive media in your first email.
Timing: we aim to acknowledge requests within 10 business days, and to complete deletion within 30 days of verifying your authority. Complex cases, and guardian requests involving a child’s account, can take longer; we will tell you why.
What is deleted
Once your authority is confirmed, we delete or de-identify the following so it can no longer be linked to you:
- Your account record, sign-in email and login connections.
- Athlete profiles, sporting details, photos, video and gallery media.
- Posts, comments, reactions, follows and fan followers.
- Messages, contact requests and guardian message threads.
- Saved items, watchlists, prospect lists, comparison lists and scholarship tracker entries.
- Notifications and notification preferences.
- Challenge entries and leaderboard positions you held.
- Social connection tokens and unfinished social import drafts.
- Any podcast publisher workspace linked to the account.
What we keep, why, and for how long
| Record | Why we keep it | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Billing and transaction records (plan, invoices, payment references) | Tax, accounting, chargeback and fraud-prevention obligations | 7 years after the transaction |
| Safety and moderation evidence (reports, review decisions, policy strikes, law-enforcement referrals) | Keeping young athletes safe, responding to reports and lawful requests | 2 years after the case closes, or longer while a legal hold or referral applies |
| Age assurance and guardian consent records | Showing that child-safety and consent checks were made | 2 years after the account closes |
| The deletion request itself, and our handling of it | Evidence that your request was received and actioned | 2 years |
| Encrypted backups | Disaster recovery only, never for normal use | 30 days, then overwritten |
| Aggregated statistics with no link back to you | Understanding how the service is used | No fixed limit, as it is no longer personal information |
After those periods the records are deleted or de-identified. Where a legal obligation, court order or open investigation requires it, we may keep the minimum needed for longer and will say so if it affects you.
What deletion cannot reach
Deleting your account does not recall what other people already saw, saved or copied. Content others reposted, screenshots, search-engine caches and messages already received by another person stay outside our control. Copies held by the service providers we use are deleted under our instructions, subject to their own short retention cycles.
Subscriptions and billing
Requesting deletion does not cancel a subscription, issue a refund or change what has already been charged. Cancel first in your billing settings, or ask for billing to be reviewed in the same request, and we will tell you what happens to the remaining period.
What we will not claim
A request is not instant erasure, and we do not treat a request status change as proof that deletion has finished. If we cannot verify your authority, we will not delete the account. If something cannot be deleted straight away, we tell you what it is and why instead of calling the job complete.
